Head of Insights & Analysis

We’re looking for a highly motivated individual who has extensive experience in providing innovation and insights in an elite sporting environment to join us at PGMOL. 
 
This role is essential in supporting the performance of all PGMOL Match Officials and you’ll have the opportunity to lead an exceptional team of analysts whilst developing a world-leading analysis and insights strategy in line with the objectives of the organisation.
 
We’d love to hear from you if you:
  • Have extensive experience within the field of Performance Analysis in sport.
  • Are a strategic thinker, who can communicate effectively to a range of audiences in an engaging and inspiring way.
  • Have experience in leading a Performance Analysis department within an elite sporting environment.
  • Have an exceptional football knowledge, with demonstratable ability to contextualise and present technical and tactical insights which would support the performance of PGMOL Match Officials.
  • Are experienced in managing budgets and building/maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and third-party suppliers.
  • Have a track record of implementing new technology in order to enhance data and video analysis provisions within elite environments.
  • Demonstrate high level emotional intelligence, the ability to operate across multiple workstreams and understand the value of collaboration.
  • Want to have a significant impact on officiating and the development of Match Officials who operate within PGMOL.



What you can expect to be involved in
  • The continuous development of PGMOL’s performance systems and use of integrated data analytics tools.
  • Leading collaboration across departments to deliver impactful insights and analysis.
  • Working closely with the Chief Refereeing Officer, Technical Director and other members of the PGMOL Leadership Team to help achieve the organisations strategic aims.
  • Enhancing the delivery of football and referee insights in order to aid Match Officials preparation and performance.
  • Personnel management and recruitment.
  • Project management opportunities.
  • Board level reporting and opportunities to present to a range of stakeholders.
  • Supplier contract negotiation and management.
  • Contribution to upcoming PhD research projects relating to the field of Performance Analysis.
  • Review of existing systems and processes, their effectiveness and the implementation of new technologies, methodologies and tools.
