Your responsibilities in this role:

As the Cyber Security Development Head, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of robust, cutting-edge cyber security solutions for our organization. In addition, you will lead an engineering department focused on security-related services, ensuring a comprehensive and holistic approach to protecting our digital assets and infrastructure. This role demands technical expertise combined with strategic vision and leadership to ensure the ongoing protection of our digital assets and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cybersecurity best practices, emerging trends, and the ability to guide and mentor a team of security professionals. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will recognize the importance of maintaining a balance between compliance-related restrictions and ease of use for developers, fostering a culture of creativity and adaptability within the team.

In this role, you will be tasked with developing and executing a strategic cyber security plan that aligns with our organization's goals and complies with industry standards and regulations. Leading and managing a team of cyber security professionals, as well as the security engineering department, will be a crucial part of your responsibilities, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations to ensure the team's growth and success.

Collaboration will be key as you work with stakeholders across the organization, including the IT, software development, and operations teams, to identify and prioritize security requirements for new and existing systems. Your expertise should enable you to design, develop, and implement innovative cyber security solutions, such as secure coding practices, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability management tools, while keeping in mind the balance between compliance and ease of use for developers.

Conducting regular risk assessments and threat-modelling exercises, you will identify potential vulnerabilities and areas for improvement in the organization's security posture. Establishing and maintaining incident response and disaster recovery plans will ensure that the organization is prepared to respond to and recover from cyber security incidents.

As a leader in the organization, you will develop and deliver training and awareness programs to educate employees about cyber security risks and best practices. Staying up-to-date on industry trends and emerging threats will help inform your decision-making and maintain our competitive edge. You will also manage relationships with external partners, such as vendors, consultants, and regulatory bodies, to ensure the organization's security needs are met and compliance requirements are maintained. Lastly, you will be involved in regularly preparing and presenting reports on the organization's security posture to senior management to highlight areas of success and opportunities for improvement.

What we expect from you:

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in cyber security with a focus on application security, network security, and/or secure software development
• At least 3 years of experience in a leadership or management role is required
• Strong knowledge of cyber security best practices, frameworks, and standards, such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Critical Security Controls
• Familiarity with various programming languages and experience with secure coding practices, as well as expertise in security tools and technologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• A proactive and adaptable mindset, keeping up with emerging trends and technologies in the cyber security field, while effectively balancing compliance and creativity within your team
• Relevant industry certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH, are highly desirable
