About Us

Devex, the media platform for the global development professional community, is looking for a creative, dedicated and organized new team member for our Audience Growth and Engagement team to grow and engage our audiences on- and off-platform, with a focus on email. As part of the audience growth team, you’ll work closely with stakeholders across the organization and use email marketing, landing pages, ads, and social media to invite relevant people to engage with Devex events, content, and other offerings.

You have a background in audience growth and engagement or digital/consumer marketing, and a strong interest in or knowledge of global development. Job Description

Your responsibilities include:

  • Work with the audience team, designers, project managers, and editorial teams to develop and implement promotion and engagement strategies for Devex events, content, and other offerings (using emails, landing pages, paywalls, downloadables, newsletters, registration forms, social media, and more)

  • Monitor and use analytics to measure impact, and provide stakeholders with data insights and analysis to inform continual improvement and guide strategy

  • Create and continually optimize Devex marketing funnels and engagement loops to grow and delight the Devex audience across several segments, from first-time website visitors to paying members 

  • Actively and regularly contribute to audience growth initiatives and ideas based on insights you gained from working with and listening to our audiences and industry trends.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Experience in an audience growth/engagement or digital/consumer marketing role

  • Knowledge of and passion for audience engagement and working with emails to drive conversion, retention and engagement

  • Detail-oriented and with excellent organizational, time management and communication skills and the ability manage multiple projects at the same time

  • A team player who’s eager to collaborate, but also had the ability to move projects 

  • Demonstrated ability to write engaging copy across a range of platforms

  • Experience working with Email Service Providers (ESPs), ideally Marketo

  • Basic HTML skills or willingness to learn

  • Experience with analytics and listening tools such as email metrics, Google Analytics, SocialFlow, Twitter Analytics, LinkedIn Analytics, Facebook Analytics, Sprout Social

  • Experience with running A/B and multivariate tests and translating findings into strategy.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working at a major news and/ or global development organization 

  • Experience working with a subscription product and/or membership program
