Niobium’s Engineering team is seeking passionate and creative individuals with strong technical skills to join our expanding SoC team. The ideal candidate enjoys contributing across multiple disciplines. As an SoC Engineer, you will work in a small talented team of SoC Engineers researching, designing, and implementing novel methodologies and architectures. You will have the opportunity to contribute to all areas of SoC design, verification, and implementation. Projects range from integrating third party IPs to designing complex systems.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES /Participate in architectural feasibility studiesDevelop micro-architecture specifications based on the SoC requirementsDesign, implement and integrate complex SoC blocksDevelop block-level test cases to deliver fully functional designsDevelop synthesis constraints and resolve timing issuesResolve Lint, CDC, and DFT related issuesIdentify and resolve RTL and GLS failures at block and chip levelParticipate in ECO implementation Assist with silicon bring-upDESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE /Successful candidates should have several of the following SOC design/architecture experiences:RTL Design including HVLs and HDLs (SystemVerilog, Verilog)Third Party IP Integration experienceLogic synthesis and static timing analysisSoC design flow including chip-level design, block/IP design and behavioral modelingModeling SoC architectures with FPGAsWorking knowledge of standard bus protocols such as AXI/AMBA/TileLinkExperience with RISC-V architectureWorking knowledge of PCIe and DDRClock domain crossing methodologiesScripting languages such as Python, Perl, Tcl, shell, etc.Strong familiarity with EDA toolsStrong problem solving and debugging capabilitiesWorking knowledge of SoC design with CHISEL (desired but not required)Asynchronous logic design (desired but not required)CONTACT /careers@niobiummicrosystems.com444 E 2nd Street, Suite 250, Dayton, OH 45402niobiummicrosystems.comTo apply: https://weworkremotely.com/remote-jobs/niobium-soc-design-engineer
