Senior Product Manager, Workflow Automation

Businesses across various industries seek to automate manual document workflows for multiple reasons:
- For larger quotes, proposals, legal, or HR documents, putting the document together can take a lot of time that could be better spent on value-creating intellectual activities.
- Some of the document workflows can be fully automated and should not require human intervention at all.
- On average, PandaDoc is connected to 2 other platforms. Without automation, business people would have to manually copy-paste the data, which is prone to errors.
PandaDoc aims to democratize the workflow automation process and integration by offering different ways for business workflows to be automated in a no-code way by non-technical business personas.
Currently, there are multiple approaches to automation in PandaDoc:
- Workflows Builder: Allows users to design a workflow for attended automation, controlled by a user.
- Automations: Includes pre-packaged unattended automations, built on top of Workato.
- Rules Builder: Automates product and pricing configuration for sales quotes and proposals.
- CRM Data Merge Rules: Automates and configures the process of data migration from CRMs into PandaDoc and vice versa.
- Document Creation Automation: Smart Content rules define how the data in the document is put together based on the input from a user, third-party systems, or the output of the Workflow and Rules Builder.
- Document Field and Form Logic Automation: Defines the conditional logic according to which form questions and document fields are displayed based on user actions.
The goal of the Senior Product Manager, Workflow Automation, is to define and execute an innovative vision of a holistic no-code experience that allows business users and partners to fully implement desired business processes in PandaDoc in a matter of days—not months as on other platforms—and make the efficiency of document process automation one of the distinct and market-leading capabilities for PandaDoc.
- Strong experience in building great self-service UX
- Solution-oriented mindset (solution engineering experience would be a huge plus)
- Experience working in iPaaS companies as a Product Manager or, at least, strong hands-on experience using iPaaS platforms like Make, Zapier, Workato, etc.
- SME in one of the following business domains: HR, Legal, Sales, which would include a very deep understanding of the business processes in these areas, the documents being created as part of these business processes, and the platform ecosystem used by these functions
- Engineering background and/or math or software engineering degrees would be a huge plus
