On behalf of tms (US), GT is looking for a Manual QA Engineer to join a new dynamic team.

About the Role

Tms is seeking a talented, experienced Manual QA Engineer to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in mobile app testing and be passionate about the gaming industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and implement improvements to the QA process

  • Research, recommend, and administer QA tools

  • Participate in all aspects of the QA lifecycle. These include: QA estimating & planning, QA reporting & documentation, walkthroughs, and inspections

  • Execution of integration, white box, functionality, regression, load, performance and acceptance testing on delivery timelines

  • Responsible for Defect management including the identification, reporting, tracking, and triaging of defects using Jira and Xray for Jira

  • Work with the development team to help them understand and reproduce issues

  • Intervene and escalate issues when they pose a threat to project quality

  • Maintain documentation & results for the projects over which he/she has QA responsibility

  • Review Test cases/scenarios to make sure all requirements are covered

  • Fulfill all the roles of QA Specialist on projects where he/she is participating

  • Represent QA at interdepartmental meetings (e.g. strategy sessions, emergency conferences, etc.)

  • Support production deployments, when required

  • Share testing results with stakeholders to enable them to make decisions regarding go/no go live

Essential knowledge, skills & experience:
  • 2+ years of experience with formal test methods and quality assurance programs in an internet/software development environment.

  • Ability to test and verify against WCAG Accessibility standards using related testing tools

  • Proficiency with API testing using Postman

  • Competence with multiple web browsers and operating systems, and an understanding of their differences and issues

  • Experience in the preparation, and/or execution of formal test cases, scripts, and scenarios

  • Experience using and administering testing tools (Browser Stack, Selenium, etc)

  • Ability to examine application tools and familiarity with YAML, JSON, XML

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and deliver against aggressive schedule pressures

  • Superior interpersonal skills

  • Experience in working in Agile or other sprint-based work process

  • Experience, or familiarity with, one or more web development tools (JAVA, HTML, Oracle, PHP)
