What is an iOS Developer at Gozem?

As An iOS Developer, you should have a strong working knowledge of iOS Frameworks, be proficient in Objective-C, and be able to work as part of a team. Ultimately, an outstanding iOS Developer should be able to create functional, attractive applications that perfectly meet the needs of the user.

You will work in collaboration with our team of developers located around the world (Benin, Cameroon, Nigeria, Senegal, Togo, Kenya, India, Sri Lanka...)

Your tasks: 

  • Design and build applications for the iOS platform
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

You are the right person for this job if you...

  • Are  proficient with Objective-C or Swift , and Cocoa Touch
  • Have an experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
  • Are Familiarly with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services
  • Have knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards
  • understand Apple's design principles and interface guidelines
  • Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools 
  • Are familiarly with cloud message APIs and push notifications
  • Have good skills for benchmarking and optimization
  • Are familiarly with continuous integration
  •  understand code versioning tools such as Git

You have

  • Level of education: Master's degree (recommended but not required)
  • At least 5 years experience in a similar position
  • Mandatory skills: iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc.
  • Skills we are looking for in addition, Knowledge of low-level C-based libraries is preferred
  • Tools to master: Asana, Trello, G-Suite
  • Languages : 
    • French 
    • English
  • Location: on site or remote

Interview process

  • An initial introductory meeting with the recruitment manager (30 minutes) 
  • A business case to be completed within 08 days 
  • A presentation of your business case with the head of the Tech team and a time to discuss your professional experience
  • An interview of 45 minutes with our Head of product (future n+1) followed by a referral request (you give us 4 professional contacts to whom we send a questionnaire)
  • One final validation interview with one of our co-founders (optional)
