As a Product Owner at Upshop you will be a key member of the product development team responsible for defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and stakeholders, to deliver high-quality products that meet customer needs and drive business success. Your expertise in agile methodologies, market research, and user feedback analysis will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Area / Vision and Strategy:

   - Define and communicate the product area vision, strategy, and goals in alignment with the company's overall objectives.

   - Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify market trends, customer needs, and opportunities for product enhancements.

   - Work closely with stakeholders to understand business priorities and incorporate them into the product roadmap

2. Product Backlog Management:

   - Create and maintain a prioritized product backlog, including user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria, based on customer feedback, business value, and technical feasibility.

   - Continuously groom and refine the backlog to ensure that it remains up-to-date, relevant, and ready for development.

3. Requirements and Analysis:

   - Collaborate with cross-functional teams and end-users to gather and analyze product requirements.

   - Translate customer needs into clear and actionable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.

   - Travel to customers to fully understand client requirements and workflows.

4. Agile Product Development:

   - Function as the voice of the customer during the development process, providing guidance and direction to the development team.

   - Participate in agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective meetings, to maintain a smooth development process.

5. Product Release and Launch:

   - Coordinate with development, design, and QA teams to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality product increments.

   - Plan and execute product launches, including marketing collateral, documentation, and user training materials.

6. Performance Monitoring and Iteration:

   - Monitor product performance, user feedback, and analytics to identify areas for improvement and innovation.

   - Drive continuous iteration and improvement of the product to enhance customer satisfaction and product success.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

- 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in an agile software development environment.

- Proficient understanding of agile methodologies, specifically Scrum, and experience working with Scrum teams.

- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to gather and interpret data to make informed decisions.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

- Experience in market research, competitor analysis, and user feedback analysis.

- Knowledge of product management tools, such as aHa, Azure DevOps, or similar.
