HER HEAD OF PRODUCT
THE ROLE
Head of Product at HER leads the integration of product management, data science, customer support and design to achieve the company’s vision of connecting every queer woman, non-binary, trans and gender nonconforming person in the world.
This role reports to the CEO and is key in driving the product strategy for HER. As a thought leader, you will innovate on behalf of our community by directing the development of features and solutions, ultimately resulting in a better user experience and growing revenue. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by converting new and existing users and building and managing a team across design, data and support. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a consumer mobile product, ideally with subscription revenue. Most importantly, they will have a strong drive to delight our different users, enjoy working cross-functionally, and be laser focussed on delivering on our goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Coach, manage and lead a cross functional team to prioritise and deliver on business goals

Lead the vision and strategy for HER’s products and roadmap

Partner closely with the Head of Engineering to ensure product and engineering teams work seamlessly together to deliver on company goals

Maintain a deep understanding of customer behaviors, the competitive landscape and technology trends to shape strategic decisions, plans and priorities.

Define goals and KPIs that align to short-term and long-term user engagement and revenue, and drive teams to achieve them.

Act as the bridge between engineering, design, marketing and sales teams to align on common goals

Own the HER product development roadmap, ensuring that product and engineering teams are consistently delivering on company and team strategy through product execution

Where necessary for company success, execute on individual features yourself alongside the product team

Develop processes and systems that build out our Product function and deliver product cycles that run smoothly. Work in partnership with other department heads to develop and iterate cross functional processes

Gather & analyze large amounts of quantitative & qualitative data to identify, prioritize and measure the impact of opportunities

Communicate product plans, core metrics and developments with rest of company

Recruit, lead, coach, develop and motivate a team of talented product managers, designers, data analysts and customer support folks that understand and deliver against goals

Create an innovative, inclusive, product culture that fosters empowerment, growth, and collaboration.

Proactively identify new customer opportunities by analyzing and understanding customer needs and market opportunities

Identify opportunities for 3rd party partnerships, and ensure successful integration
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

8+ years product management experience on consumer high-volume mobile products driven by subscription revenue models, driving strategy, execution and metrics

3 + years experience building and managing multi disciplinary product teams

Empathetic yet development focussed line manager, who can tailor their approach to get the best out of their reportees

3+ years experience as part of a cross-company management position, working with leaders in other disciplines to achieve team and company goals

Excellent communication and listening skills across technical and non-technical teams

Strong analytical skills and experience using tools for data analysis

Process oriented, with a proven track record of creating new and improving what exists

Comfortable dealing with multiple opinions in a changing environment, and using them appropriately as part of your prioritization and team leadership decisions

Natural ability to make things happen around you through influence & balancing tradeoffs to enable products to launch.

A demonstrable understanding of product and UX design

Experience working in a fully remote, multi timezone company

Deep understanding of and empathy for queer culture, and a desire to build a product that delivers on our company mission
Salary Expectations
As a remote company, we set salaries based on experience and location.
Expected salary range: $120,000 - $200,000
