The millions of IoT devices from the hallway to the highway increasingly need to be secured and updated remotely; it is a huge task.
Would you like to transform the way Automotive and IoT devices boot in a secure way? Do you know how to build or address a threat model for an IoT system?
The goal is to create a trusted reference stack; Development work will be a partnership with significant SoC vendors and the IoT, Industrial and Automotive space. The stack will be based on standards that may need influencing, such as SystemReady, SOAFEE etc.
This stack will form the reference that unifies the boot experience for native and cloud-native workloads.
The candidate will have worked hands-on with the development of firmware, ideally with a boot architecture experience on Arm. The role will require addressing security concepts such as
- Chain of Trust
- Measured Boot
- Provisioning
- Over The Air updates
- PKI
- TPM
Previous experience with firmware will have provided you with skills to work with required tooling: Git, C, Python, Yocto, GitLab, (bonus Rust)
The team is established with an established record. It has clear objectives and is looking for someone who can quickly settle into a geographically dispersed team with the motivation to work independently.
Subject to Covid-19 restrictions, international travel will be required, from time to time, for attendance at Linaro Connect meetings, industry conferences, team sprints and, on rare occasions, to Member/customer sites.
