Senior Business Analyst

As the Senior Business Analyst you will be responsible for developing and delivering insightful, accurate and timely operational metrics and insights to support our strategy across Tempo’s growing global SaaS business. You will work with key stakeholders and conduct in-depth analyses of operational performance to identify leading indicators of performance and examine lagging indicators to identify the strengths and weaknesses. You will work closely with the VP of Data and Analytics, CFO, CEO and investors to communicate findings.
The Role

Driving the development of the ARR budget and forecast incorporating all relevant KPI’s including trials, conversions, ASP, retention and cross-selling.

Reviewing corporate metrics and KPIs on a regular basis and providing insights to the business on key SaaS measures.

Developing analytic frameworks that link Go to Market activities to KPI’s like product trials and other key indicators to monitor efficacy of programs

Developing analytic frameworks that link other key initiatives to outcomes

Ensuring that operational / SaaS metrics are reviewed and monitored to spot trends

Proactively identifying operational issues and notifying key stakeholders

Helping identify new and supportive metrics and KPIs

Capturing, organizing and prioritizing end user requirements and translating them into intuitive information solutions

Working with the Data and Analytics team to create best-practice reports and dashboards based on comprehensive data mining, analysis, and visualization

Converting insights into a story-telling format for all audiences including monthly reporting and quarterly Board communications.

Participating in the continuous improvement of decision-making processes within the analytics team.

Other tasks related to on a daily basis at the request of the business
The Ideal Candidate
-
Has 5+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, business analytics and/or business intelligence in a SaaS software company producing and analyzing SaaS business metrics and KPIs and financial forecasting models

Has experience with the Atlassian ecosystem

Is proficient in excel and has excellent communication skills to tell a story visualizing data and incorporating key commentary

Has a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a quantitative field like Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or Data Science

Has a strong understanding of data structure and modeling concepts.

Can clearly communicate technical information to a non-technical audience

Can work independently and prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner, with minimal direction

Can hit the ground running, confidently able to draw immediate insights and make recommendations on further improving metrics and information delivery to the company.

A proven work ethic that drives the desired results, with an excellent business acumen and excellent project management skills

Can collaborate effectively with internal end-users and cross-functional teams to solve problems, implement new reporting solutions, and deliver successfully against high standards
