On behalf of Eagle Genomics, GT is looking to hire a talented Lead Data Engineer.
Eagle Genomics is a pioneering company working at the intersection of two exciting areas: life sciences and data science. Their AI augmented platform is revolutionising how scientists conduct life sciences research and is bridging the gap between data and new insights in a rapid, systematic, and traceable way. Eagle Genomics are putting data science at the fingertips of biologists to drastically reduce the time and cost of research, enabling customers to achieve radical productivity improvements and true data driven discovery. They are also partnering with research leaders such as the Earlham Institute to bring together open science and commercial R&D to benefit society.

- Looking for an overall experience of 10 + years.
- Looking for a minimum 5 to 8 years of experience ETL/ELT tools.
- Looking for a minimum 4 to 6 years of experience with Azure data factory, data lake, data bricks, azure functions, OR equivalent cloud concepts.
- At least 2 or more years of technical design experience
- Experience in providing / driving technical architecture, design, and technical solution
- Knowledge towards Big Data Concepts and its technologies
- Hands on Experience in with various data management libraries with related languages like python, Scala, R or any scripting language(s).
- Knowledge in design concepts towards design patterns and data modelling.
- Experience in data ingest, transform, and onboard the identified data sources with data pipelines.
- Experience in delivery and deployment of data pipelines.
- Experience in database technologies like Graph DB or Relational database to deliver the schema and data retrieval.
- Have strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Experience in writing automated tests and testable code
- Experience user of GIT/GITHUB repository
- Knowledge in Docker or Kubernetes.
- Knowledge in Microservices architecture.
- Experience of working in an Agile environment, particularly Scrum, JIRA
