VEED.IO is an online video editing platform that makes creating videos easy and accessible to everyone. Millions of people around the world use our products to tell stories, create content, grow their audience, and more. Most of these people have no experience making videos!

We're at a super interesting stage right now: two years ago, we had no staff and no money, and now things are going really well: we are the fastest-growing video editor in the world, we are profitable and we are building out the product.

 

The challenge

When we started VEED, we were just focused on getting users to try our product — now, we can see that there are so many other opportunities for growth. Our product is constantly improving, and our users can’t always keep up — when we ask customers what they are missing in our tool, they often mention features that we already offer. There is a massive opportunity here: we can do a much better job at telling the story of how our product and brand is evolving, and we are looking for a Product Marketing Manager that can help us do that!

What you will be working on

  • Defining our core messaging and positioning → We want to be consistent in how we talk about VEED and how we talk to our users. ****Based on user and competitor insights, you’ll define frameworks that help us position our products, and how we should talk about them. All of this has to resonate with our customers so that they feel at home with our products
  • Go-To-Market Strategy → Every time we release something new, you will work closely with product, growth and sales to define and drive the go-to-market strategy. Identifying the right segments, positioning, messaging, and adoption tactics for new and existing products
  • Research → Video is an exciting space, and there is a lot happening! You’ll develop a deep understanding of our target markets and help map customer journeys across different end-user groups to identify high-impact opportunities. You will become the go-to expert on the needs, behaviours and motivations of our users, and market trends around videos and content creation. You will continuously engage in research and develop a strong understanding of the broader competitive landscape and ecosystem
  • Experimentation → You understand that we won’t get everything right on the first go, so you drive campaigns and experimentation plans to increase conversion

  • You’re a researcher and know how to apply the insights → You deeply understand the value of data and love talking to our customers. You like diving deep into things and know how to process that into actionable insights
  • You’re a superb communicator → You will work with a group of super-talented product managers, salespeople, and support. Together you have to solve really complex problems, so you need to communicate well and be able to have good discussions with domain experts. You understand that good marketing is a product of internal and external communication
